NEW YORK—Sarah Lawrence College student-athletes Natalie Grieco and Katherine Shepard have been named Women's Cross Country Runner of the Week and Rookie of the Week, respectively, as announced by the Skyline Conference on Monday.

Grieco placed 12th overall in a field of 144 runners on Oct. 12 at the CCNY Classic with a time of 26:19.9 on the 6K course. She was the Skyline's top finisher in the race and paced the Green and White to a runner-up finish out of 16 teams.

Earning her second Rookie of the Week citation, Shepard was SLC's No. 3 runner at the CCNY Classic and the league's top rookie in the race. Shepard registered a time of 27:06.6 on the 6K course to finish 16th overall.

Shepard also paced the Gryphons on Thursday, as SLC edged out Maritime College, 27-28, in a head-to-head dual 5K. Shepard placed second overall, while Grieco took sixth, helping Sarah Lawrence to a win in its first-ever varsity dual.
