Pujari, Gilleran Capture HVIAC Honors

Sarah Lawrence College student-athletes Ishaan Pujari (Bangalore, India/Inventure Academy) and Graham Gilleran (San Francisco, Calif./Archbishop Riordan) have been honored by the Hudson Valley Intercollegiate Athletic Conference for the period ending Feb. 9, as announced by the league on Tuesday. Pujari was named Men's Volleyball Player of the Week, while Gilleran was tabbed Men's Basketball Rookie of the Week for the second time this season.­

Pujari led the Gryphon's volleyball offense with 27 kills in three matches, averaging 3.00 kills per set and posting double-digit kills against Lehman and Cooper Union. He also added 19 digs and six service aces while earning his first double-double (12 kills, 10 digs) in the Gryphons' match against Cooper Union.

Gilleran led the Gryphons with 14.7 points per game while adding 6.7 rebounds per game in a 1-2 week for the basketball team. He scored 14 points while playing a complete game in SLC's win over nationally-ranked Berkeley College. On the week, Gilleran shot 19-of-38 (50 percent) from the floor, and he also added nine blocks, improving his season total to 50, the most in the league since 2011-12.

In addition, men's basketball player Stevan Radosavljevic (Lazarevac, Serbia/Grammar School Lazarevac) was among student-athletes selected to the HVIAC Honor Roll. The rookie averaged 12.3 points and 12.7 rebounds per game in a 1-2 week for the Gryphons. Against Berkeley, Radosavljevic posted 20 points and 11 rebounds to lead SLC to an 84-76 upset. Against Albany Pharmacy, he scored 10 points with 14 rebounds for his 13th double-double of the season.
