Riley Vuyovich (Toms River, N.J./Toms River North) was named to the Skyline Conference Honor Roll for her achievements in the past week, as announced by the league on Monday.
SOFTBALLVuyovich hit .514 with a slugging percentage of .800 over SLC's last 10 games. The sophomore Gryphon went 18 for 35 from the plate with four doubles and two walks. On Sunday, Vuyovich hit a pair of two-run home runs to lift the Gryphons to an 8-0 win over Yeshiva for SLC's first-ever Skyline Conference victory. The shortstop also played critical roles in wins over Bay Path University and Southern Vermont College. Vuyovich has 21 hits on the season, taking over as SLC's career hits leader; she also holds team records in career doubles and home runs. She also made her debut in the circle this season, tossing four innings over three appearances in relief.
