Through the first six games of the Gryphons' young season, rookie Mackenzie Gassett leads the team with a .625 batting average. She has hit in every game going 10-for-16 from the plate.

Gassett has a team-high six runs, and is slugging .813 with a double, triple and an RBI. For her efforts, Gassett was named HVIAC Rookie of the Week.
