Sarah Lawrence College Captain's Council
Formed in the 2024-25 academic year, the Captain’s Council at Sarah Lawrence College plays a vital role in strengthening the leadership and cohesion of the athletic community. Composed of current and prospective team captains, the Council works to develop strong, ethical leaders who serve as role models within their teams and across campus. Members collaborate with coaches and administrators to address team needs, support conflict resolution, and foster a culture of accountability, communication, and sportsmanship. The Council also plays an essential part in shaping a positive and inclusive environment within the athletic department and across Sarah Lawrence's entire campus, with many participants going on to hold leadership positions throughout SLC in addition to their work in Athletics.
