Victoria Zawadzki became the first Gryphon to qualify for the 2017 IHSA Zone 3 Region 3 Championships. The senior rider rode to third place in her Novice On the Flat group at the SUNY New Paltz show on Sunday. The effort secured enough points for her to ride in the championships and graduate to the intermediate level. Zawadzki also won fourth place in her Over Fences group, earning a team-best sixth ribbon this season.
