Sarah Fiordaliso has been named Student-Athlete of the Week after being recognized as Hudson Valley Women's Athletic Conference (HVWAC) Tennis Rookie of the Week for the period ending October 7.

On Saturday, Oct. 6, Fiordaliso improved her conference doubles record to 2-0 by teaming with Lane Garber to defeat Pratt's No. 3 pair, 9-7. Against a tough Pratt opponent, the first-year player fared well in singles play, losing by a slim 10-8 margin in her first-ever league match at No. 6 singles.

Fiordaliso becomes Sarah Lawrence's second-straight honoree for the HVWAC Rookie award, following Garber's selection last week.
