During the team's eight-game trip to South Carolina, Penna led the Gryphons with a .552 batting average (16-for-29), leading the team to a 3-5 overall record to start the season. Penna collected four doubles and four triples for 28 total bases, leading the Skyline this season. She stole six bags and touched home for 12 runs scored. Already the team's career triples record, her triples total during the trip already equals the SLC single-season record in that category. Penna had five multi-hit games during the span, including a 4-for-4 game against Bay Path University as well as a 3-for-5 outing with three runs in a victory over Franciscan University. For her efforts, Penna was named Skyline Player of the Week.
