Pat Newsom received the 2016 men's cross country Coaches Award. He was also named to the Skyline Academic Honor Roll and Skyline All-Sportsmanship Team. Newsom ran in all nine races of season and posted a season-best 8K time of 29:34 at the Skyline Championship (Oct. 30). He finished as the squad’s top runner at the Baruch Invitational (Sept. 4) and recorded his season-best overall finish (13th) at NYIT Invitational (Sept. 17). Newsom finished his career as the No. 3 Gryphon on SLC all-time 8K list and No. 3 on 5K list.
