Anthony Lee received the 2016-17 men's swimming Coaches Award and was named Metropolitan All-Academic. Lee swam in all 12 meets, totaling team-high 254 points. He won 100 butterfly and took second in 100 backstroke at SLC Sprint Carnival (Oct. 29), and against Cobleskill, he won 50 freestyle and broke 200 backstroke record with winning time of 2:15.71 (Nov. 5). Lee won 1650 freestyle and 200 backstroke against Mount Saint Mary (Nov. 12) before winning 50 freestyle and 100 butterfly against Maritime (Nov. 18). He won 100 freestyle, 200 medley relay and 200 free relay against St. Joseph’s Brooklyn & Old Westbury (Nov. 19). Lee placed in four individual events and four relays at TCNJ Lions Invitational (Dec. 2-4), and he placed in four individual events at Skyline Championships, including fourth-place finish in 100 freestyle; he also swam in both fourth-place relays (Jan. 27-28). Lee lowered own 50 freestyle record (21.96) twice at Metropolitan Championships (Feb. 17-18). He was named Skyline Swimmer of the Week and CollegeSwimming.com Conference Swimmer of the Week.
