Jeff Jordan II received the 2016-17 men's basketball Coaches Award. He played in all 25 games, making four starts, and set a team record for best field goal percentage in a season, shooting 68-for-124 (.548). Jordan made 73 free throws, second most in a season by a Gryphon. He scored 18 points with season-high seven rebounds against New Rochelle (Dec. 10). Against Purchase, he set a team record for most field goals without a miss with 7-for-7 shooting while totaling career-high 21 points with four assists and two steals (Jan. 7). Jordan scored 16 points and matched season high seven rebounds at Sage (Feb. 4). He had 11 games with 10 points or more, and he finished his career No. 3 all-time in career made free throws (125). Jordan was twice named to the Skyline Honor Roll.
