Isaac Gamboa was named 2017 men's volleyball MVP. He started in all 22 matches and played in all 70 sets. Gamboa totaled 36 kills and led the team with 133 assists. He also recorded 15 service aces, second most on team while totaling 91 digs and 11 blocks, third most on team. Gamboa matched his career high with six kills along with 13 digs against Dean (Feb. 11). He recorded a double-double with 12 assists and 10 digs against Yeshiva (March 19). Gamboa finished his career ranked among SLC all-time leaders in kills (5th, 118), assists (4th, 149), service aces (7th, 28), digs (4th, 258) and blocks (4th, 27).
