Sarah Lawrence College Athletics

Fiordaliso and partner Lane Garber won the No. 3 doubles flight at the 2012 Hudson Valley Women's Athletic Conference Tennis Championship on Saturday.

The top-seeded pair began their championship run by taking down their opponents from College of New Rochelle, 8-1, in the semifinal round. In the final, the Gryphons faced pressure from Pratt Institute opponents, but Sarah Lawrence's rookies ultimately triumphed in 8-4 fashion.

The win propelled the Gryphons to second-place in the tournament standings and preserved Sarah Lawrence's six-year streak with at least one HVWAC title.
