Taryn Penna batted .536 (15-28) with eight runs scored and a pair of RBIs in the team's Spring Break trip to South Carolina. The junior was also 7-7 in stolen base attempts.

Penna went 3-for-4 in the team's 4-3 win over Lesley University, the defending NECC champions, scoring the game-tying run while hitting the go-ahead RBI single.

In the squad's 9-6 win over Albertus Magnus, winners of 30 games in 2017, the junior finished with three hits, two runs scored and one RBI, kicking off a seven-run first inning rally with a hard double down the left field line.
