Chaz Stafford shined at the Hamilton Invitational, winning three individual events. The rookie scored a total of 96 points for the Gryphons, tied for the most points scored for a male performer at the meet.
Stafford was the top swimmer in the 500 free, completing the race in 4:54.08. He won the 200 free in a field of 31 swimmers, touching the wall in 1:48.93, a season-best.
In the 1,650 free, the two-time Skyline Rookie of the Week honoree finished in 16:50.86, over 30 seconds faster than the second-place finisher, breaking his own school record of 17:06.21. Stafford also broke his own school record in the 1,000 free in the split with a time of 10:10.16.
