Chaz Stafford won two Skyline championships, highlighted by a record-breaking performance, to lead the Sarah Lawrence men's swimming team at the two-day 2020 Skyline Swimming & Diving Championships at Purchase College.
For a second consecutive year, Stafford was crowned Skyline Champion in the 1,000-free. The sophomore was the top performer with a time of 9:59.50, breaking his own school standard of 10:00.97.
Stafford won gold in the 500-free for a second consecutive campaign, winning the race in 4:50.74, nearly four seconds faster than the second-place swimmer. Â
Stafford also reached the podium in the 200-free, finishing third with a time of 1:49.02. In addition, Stafford scored in the 100-free with a time of 49.98, his best effort in the event this season. Â
