Stephanie Ricketts was named Women's Soccer Head Coach in June 2016. The 2017 season is her second at the helm.
In her debut season, the 2016 Gryphons achieved the highest win total in the history of the program. The team achieved its highest-ever scoring output with an increase of more than 50 percent from the previous season. Simultaneously, the defense held the team's opponents to record lows.
Ricketts served most recently as an Assistant Coach for women's soccer at her alma mater, Goucher College in Baltimore. There, she spent three seasons assisting with daily training sessions and competitive game strategies while specializing as the program's goalkeeping coach. Ricketts attended many national tournaments, meeting and recruiting students interested in a private, liberal arts education.
Â
Prior to Goucher, Ricketts was a women's soccer Graduate Assistant at Westminster College in Pennsylvania, where she was instrumental in helping to recruit student-athletes while executing coaching and practice plans. In 2012, the Titans' senior goalkeeper Jenn Cantella was named to the first team NSCAA Division III All-Region squad under Ricketts' tutelage.
Â
Ricketts began her collegiate coaching career as women's soccer Assistant Coach at Adrian College in Michigan. There, she coached for three seasons, collaborating in the development of the program while directing the team's reserves. Ricketts served as Interim Head Coach for a semester and also served as the Head Coach for its varsity bowling program.
Â
Ricketts was a four-year starting goalkeeper as an undergraduate student-athlete at Goucher, where she became the program's fourth goalie to surpass 300 career saves. She had the second-best save percentage in the Capital Athletic Conference in 2006 and was a three-time honoree on the CAC All-Academic team. She received a bachelor's degree in psychology and went on to earn a Master of Education from Westminster.

Professionally, Ricketts has a USSF National 'D' Coaching License and NSCAA National Goalkeeper Diploma.
