NEW YORK—Sarah Lawrence College women's tennis player Autumn Atkinson (Manasquan, N.J./George School) has been named to the 2014 Skyline Women's Tennis All-Conference Second Team, as announced by the league on Friday.

Entering the final weekend of the regular season, Atkinson has emerged as SLC's top player of 2014. The sophomore has racked up a team-high 16 wins at singles and doubles combined.

In doubles action, Atkinson and partner Juliet Slade (St. Paul, Minn./Central) have posted a 9-3 record this season. Coming off a 15-0 campaign in 2013, the duo won their first three matches of 2014 before their streak was eventually snapped at 18-straight victories. Their nine wins are tied for the most of any partnership in the Skyline.

Individually, Atkinson has posted a winning record at her primary position in the No. 2 spot and has won two of her three matches when playing in the No. 1 singles slot.

Atkinson was named to the Skyline Honor Roll on Sept. 22, after going 3-0 in singles play and adding two wins in doubles action. Against Yeshiva, she contributed to two team points, winning at No. 2 singles and No. 2 doubles in the team's first-ever Skyline match.

For her career, Atkinson has 19 singles and 24 doubles victories. She was named a 2014 SLC Newcomer of the Year.

Sarah Lawrence concludes the season with a home match against York College (N.Y.) on Friday at 6 p.m. and a home showdown with Purchase College at 3 p.m. on Saturday.
