Sarah Lawrence (2-4, 0-2 Skyline) was unable to secure a set against the defending conference champions. Farmingdale (6-1, 2-0 Skyline), the unanimous top pick in the league coaches' preseason poll, has only dropped one set in its two conference wins.
In doubles action, SLC's No. 1 team, senior
Kayla Pincus (Shaker Heights, Ohio/Shaker Heights) and rookie
Sofia Reh (Villanova, Pa./Radnor), won three games in their 8-3 defeat. At No. 3, sophomores
Sarah Pyatt (Taos, N.M./Taos) and
Caroline Harrison (Galloway, N.J./Absegami) fared slightly better in their 8-4 loss.

Autumn Atkinson (Manasquan, N.J./George School) took two games in her opening set of singles play. In the No. 3 position, Reh took a game in each of her sets, 6-1, 6-1, while Pyatt won three games in her 6-2, 6-1 loss at No. 4 singles.
Sarah Lawrence takes on Skyline opponent Mount Saint Mary College (N.Y.) on the road on Thursday.
