In singles action, rookie
Molly Rosenblatt (San Antonio, Texas/Tom C. Clark) recovered after trailing by a game to win her pro-set match, 10-7. Slade won back-to-back games to close out a 10-7 victory in the No. 2 position, giving the Gryphons a 4-2 lead in the team scoring.
The team victory was clinched by Rosas, who came back from a 9-7 deficit to tie her No. 6 singles match at 9-9. In the tiebreaker, she took a 4-0 lead and held on to win the match 10-9 (7-5), earning the critical fifth team point for the Gryphons.
