BRONXVILLE, N.Y.—Sarah Lawrence College women's tennis picked up its first win of the season in dominant fashion, dismissing The College of New Rochelle, 8-1, in a non-conference match at SLC Courts on Sunday.

Sarah Pyatt (Taos, N.M./Taos), and the duo blanked their Blue Angels opponents, 8-0. At No. 2 doubles, seniors
Juliet Slade (St. Paul, Minn./Central) and
Moni Spancheska (Skopje, Macedonia/NOVA International) partnered and also cruised to an 8-0 victory. The No. 3 match saw rookies
Yini Li (China/Ross School) and
Aileen Rosas (Tijuana, Mexico/Mater Dei Catholic) pick up their first collegiate victory with an 8-0 shutout.
In singles action, Slade was the first to finish, taking the No. 3 match, 10-0. At No. 4 singles, Spancheska earned the distinction of scoring the match-clinching point by earning the 10-0 triumph. Li earned a shutout win at No. 5 singles, as did rookie
Molly Rosenblatt (San Antonio, Texas/Tom C. Clark) in the No. 6 match. The Gryphons' final team point came with a 10-1 victory in the No. 2 match, courtesy of Pyatt. Reh won one game in the No. 1 singles match, but CNR's top player earned a 10-1 win and her team's only point of the match.
UP NEXT
Sarah Lawrence hosts each of its next two matches. The Gryphons take on Bard College on Tuesday at 5 p.m. before resuming Skyline action with a home match against Farmingdale State on Saturday. Last Saturday's rained-out home match against York College (N.Y.) is also set to be rescheduled in the coming weeks.
