PATCHOGUE, N.Y.—Sarah Lawrence College women's tennis was swept, 9-0, by St. Joseph's College Long Island in a Skyline match at Danzi Tennis Courts on Saturday.

MATCH SUMMARY
In doubles action, seniors Sofia Reh (Villanova, Pa./Radnor) and Sarah Pyatt (Taos, N.M./Taos) played this season's second match as a partnership. The Gryphons won four games in their No. 1 doubles match, but were overcome, 8-4. Senior Juliet Slade (St. Paul, Minn./Central) led the Gryphons with four games in her singles match but fell in the No. 3 position, 6-3, 6-1. With the loss, the Gryphons were officially eliminated from repeating an appearance in the Skyline postseason tournament, having earned their first-ever berth in 2015.

Sarah Lawrence is idle for the rest of the month and resumes action on with two non-conference matches this weekend. The Gryphons host York College (N.Y.) on Saturday, October 1, before taking on The College of New Rochelle on Sunday, October 2.
