RESULTS
BRONX, N.Y. - The Sarah Lawrence women's cross country team turned in a strong performance Sunday, finishing first among 13 teams at the York Invitational at Van Cortlandt Park.
TOP GRYPHONS
In a field of 97 runners, Rosa Mykyta-Chomsky (Philadelphia, Pa./Germantown Friends School) finished fourth, crossing the finish line in 26:15.93.
Tiffany Meier (Goleta, Calif./Olive Grove Charter) had her best run of the season, finishing fifth with a time of 26:35.77.
The Gryphons next two runners each finished among the top-15. Katie Shepard (Visalia, Calif./Mount Whitney) finished 12th, while Jemma Fisher (Northampton, Mass./Northampton) placed 15th.
Janey Bombara (Newtown, Mass./Newtown North) finished 31st in the race, while Lea Perry (Long Valley, N.J./West Morris Central) took 33rd and Katherine Labadie (New Orleans, La./Benjamin Franklin) placed 35th to round out the Sarah Lawrence runners that finished among the top half of the field.
Overall, the team finished with a score of 59.

The Gryphons will compete in one last race before the Skyline Championships, the St. Joseph's Invitational on Oct. 14.
