Women’s Swimming Wins Eight Events in 113-31 Victory Over SUNY Cobleskill

BRONXVILLE, N.Y. – In the team's first dual meet of the season Saturday, the Sarah Lawrence College women's swim team defeated SUNY Cobleskill 113-31 at Campbell Sports Center.

TOP GRYPHON PERFORMANCES
Sarah Lawrence was victorious in seven individual events. Devon Peal (Springfield, Va./West Springfield) was the top performer in the 1,000 yard freestyle, touching the wall in 12:40.22, while taking first-place in the 200 yard backstroke (2:25.21).

Naima Mackrel (Woodstock, N.Y./Kingston) posted first-place efforts in the 50 yard freestyle (26.39) and 100 yard freestyle (59.79), while Hannah Lawson (Portland, Ore./Pacific Crest Community School) was the top swimmer in the 200 yard IM (2:31.69) and 200 yard breaststroke (2:39.35) events.

Elizabeth Kroll (Sacramento, Calif./The Met Sacramento) won her first race of the season, earning first-place in the 200 yard freestyle with a time of 2:20.12.

GRYPHON RELAYS
In the 400 yard medley relay, a team of Peal, Lawson, Mackrel and Caitie Adler (Pikesville, Md./Wilde Lake) was victorious with a time of 4:54.65.
