EWING, N.J. – The Sarah Lawrence women's swimming team concluded the three-day Lions Invitational Sunday at The College of New Jersey.

Friday
On the opening day of competition, a team comprised of
Naima Mackrel (Woodstock, N.Y./Kingston),
Andrea Corbin (Eugene, Ore./Henry D. Sheldon),
Devon Peal (Springfield, Va./West Springfield) and
Hannah Lawson (Portland, Ore./Pacific Crest Community School) set the school record in the 200 yard freestyle relay with a time of 1:46.23, beating the previous mark of 1:46.79 set by Peal, Lawson, Gabriella Risica and Mackrel at the Metropolitan Championships in 2015.
The same quartet swam in the 400 medley relay, completing the race in 4:16.27, eight seconds faster than its seed time.
Mackrel also posted a top-10 finish in the 50 yard freestyle, finishing seventh in 25.23, a season-best.
Saturday
Mackrel was victorious in the 100 backstroke, winning the event with an effort of 59.26, a season-best. Peal finished 10th in the race with a mark of 1:03.26, her best performance of the season.
In the 200 medley relay, a team of Mackrel, Lawson, Peal and Corbin finished seventh with a season-best effort of 1:54.94.
Lawson also cracked the top-10 of the 100 breaststroke, finishing eighth with a time of 1:09.61.
Sunday
Lawson finished in a tie for third-place in the 200 breaststroke, completing the race in 2:29.93, a season-best.
In the finals of the 200 backstroke, Peal touched the wall in 2:20.41, one second faster than her seed time.
