Late Goal Sends CCNY Past Women’s Soccer, 2-1

YONKERS, N.Y. – CCNY scored the go-ahead goal in the 88th minute to defeat the Sarah Lawrence women's soccer team by a 2-1 score Friday at Tibbetts Brook Park.

KEY MOMENTS
Lauren Ashby (Syracuse, N.Y./William Nottingham) scored her first collegiate goal in the 36th minute to give the Gryphons a 1-0 lead. Classmate Sydney Crain () was credited with an assist.
CCNY got on the board in the 69th minute on a goal from Gabrielle Duchaussee off an assist from Amy Gomez. Daniela Grisales-Agudelo scored the game-winning goal in the final minutes off a service from Tatiana Zuluaga.

Rookie goalkeeper Madison Mertsch () had a solid outing in her first contest in a Gryphons uniform, posting eight saves.
