BRONX, N.Y. – The Sarah Lawrence men's soccer team opened up its 2017 season Friday evening with a 3-0 loss at Lehman at Lehman's South Field.

Lehman scored two goals in the first half and once more in the second frame. Salh Alzubidi led the way with two goals, each coming off an assist from Gentian Muhaxheri. Omar Moro found the back of the net in the 39th minute, tapping in a shot inside the box.

Mehran Hicks (Hartsdale, N.Y./The Masters School) had a busy afternoon in goal, making 14 saves in his 2017 debut. Six different Gryphons took a shot in the match, including
Colin Berg (Franklin, Mass./Mount Saint Charles Academy), who had the team's lone attempt on goal in the 72nd minute.
