Men’s Soccer Defeats York 4-0

PURCHASE, N.Y. – Finn Macmillan (London, U.K./Bryanston) and Mohamed Camara (Macenta, Guinea/New World) scored two goals each to lead the Sarah Lawrence men's soccer team to a 4-0 victory over York Thursday at Purchase Soccer Field.

KEY MOMENTS
Sarah Lawrence got on the board five minutes into the game. Macmillan recorded his first goal of the afternoon, knocking in a header off a free kick from Alix Legrand (Damascus, Pa./Scranton Prep).
Macmillan, who has now scored a goal in back-to-back contests, notched his second goal of the afternoon in the 27th minute off a cross from Dominic Edwards (Santiago, Chile/The Grange School).

Camara scored his first goal of the contest in the 47th minute and scored again in the 58th minute off a service from Carlos Rivadeneyra.

The Gryphons' defense was solid Thursday, posting their first shutout of the season. Making his second straight start in goal, Isar Wadhwa (New Delhi, India/The British School) made four saves on 16 shots faced.

York outshot Sarah Lawrence 16-12, but the Gryphons held a 7-4 advantage in attempts on frame.

Sarah Lawrence returns to action Saturday when it hosts Pratt at Tibbetts Brook Park. Game time is scheduled for 7:30 p.m.
