Berg Scores Team-Record Four Goals in 7-3 Victory Over Pratt

YONKERS, N.Y. – Sarah Lawrence scored six second half goals, including a team-record four from Colin Berg (Franklin, Mass./Mount Saint Charles Academy), to defeat Pratt Institute 7-3 Saturday at Tibbetts Brook Park.

KEY MOMENTS
The Cannoneers scored the game's first goal in the 18th minute, when Miles Wright blasted a shot to the far post off an assist from Bryan Shim.

Sarah Lawrence equalized the contest in the 27th minute, thanks to a miscue from the Pratt back line that resulted in an own goal.

The Gryphons scored their first four goals of the second half in 2:34, including a hat trick from Berg in 2:05. In the 53rd minute, Berg scored his first goal on a shot to the near post off a pass from Finn Macmillan (London, U.K./Bryanston). 1:15 later, Berg found the back of the net once again and completed the hat trick 50 seconds later.

Owen Smith (Kingston, Jamaica/Bronx Ctr for Science and Math) concluded the flurry of Sarah Lawrence goals with his first of the year, knocking in a cross from Berg.

Berg scored his fourth goal of the evening in the 64th minute, ripping a shot from 30 yards out to the far post. 2:12 later, Camary Jonas (Kingston City, Jamaica/Martin Luther King Jr.) flicked in a header off a corner kick from Carlos Rivandeneyra (San Leandro, Calif./San Leandro).

Pratt scored twice more in the second half, as Wright found the back of the net for a second time in the 60th minute, while Shim converted a penalty kick in the 81st minute.

Sarah Lawrence outshot the Cannoneers 30-7, including a 15-6 advantage in attempts on frame. The team's 30 attempts are the most in a contest since 2011.

The Gryphons began the season 0-3, but have strung together three consecutive victories, scoring at least four games in each match, their longest such streak in team history. It is the second time that a Sarah Lawrence men's soccer team has put together a three-game winning streak.
