YONKERS, N.Y. – Pratt Institute used an early second half goal to defeat the Sarah Lawrence women's soccer team 1-0 Saturday at Tibbetts Brook Park.

Sarah Lawrence controlled possession throughout the first half, outshooting the Cannoneers, 9-1.
Pratt scored the decisive goal 1:23 into the second half, when Andrea Porretta drew the goalkeeper away from the net before slotting the ball between the pipes.
The Gryphons continued their onslaught of shots in the second half, including a flurry of attempts from
Lauren Ashby (Syracuse, N.Y./William Nottingham), the Skyline Rookie of the Week, but were unable to find the back of the net.
Sarah Lawrence finished with a 19-5 advantage in shot attempts, while Pratt led 10-1 in corner kicks.
