FARMINGDALE, N.Y. – The Sarah Lawrence women's soccer team suffered a 5-0 loss on Saturday to defending Skyline Champion Farmingdale State at Rams Field.

Farmingdale State, ranked No. 3 in the East region, scored two goals in the first half. The Rams took a 1-0 lead in the sixth minute, as Rae-Anne Guglielmo scored off assists from Allison Khare and Annamaria Merante. Farmingdale scored again in the 11th minute, as Alyssa Parrotta scored off a feed from Khare.
The Rams, unbeaten in their last five games, tacked on three more goals in the second half. Guglielmo made it a 3-0 advantage in the 59th minute off a pass from Brittney Starzee, followed by a score from Meagan Murdocco in the 71st minute. Edasia Martinez found the back of the net in the 85th minute after playing a ball from Guglielmo.
Sarah Lawrence, coming off wins over Yeshiva and Purchase to clinch a spot in the postseason for the first time in school history, was under attack for much of the contest, as Farmingdale manufactured 46 shots, including 22 attempts on target. It was a busy day for goalkeeper
Madison Mertsch, who finished with 15 saves.
