Narita Leads Men’s Cross Country at York Invitational

BRONX, N.Y. – The Sarah Lawrence men's cross country team finished seventh among 14 squads on Sunday at the York Invitational at Van Cortlandt Park.

RECAP
For a second consecutive week, Sarah Lawrence ran the 8K course at Van Cortlandt Park after running last weekend in the Queenborough Invitational.

Shin Narita was one of several Gryphons who benefitted from the familiarity of the course, improving his time by two seconds. The sophomore was the Gryphons' top runner, finishing 13th overall with a time of 31:01.

Zack Roccaforte completed the race in 32:44, while Mario Jerez finished in 35:16, a 14-second improvement from last week's race.

Nathaniel Gabor crossed the finish line in 36:43, a three second improvement, while Michael McCabe turned in his best performance of the season with a mark of 39:24. In addition, Alex Reith made his season debut at the race.
