YONKERS, N.Y. – The Sarah Lawrence College women's soccer team improved to 7-3 overall Wednesday following a 2-1 victory over Old Westbury at Fleming Field.

Sarah Lawrence, who entered the match 4-1 all-time against Skyline opponents at Fleming Field, got on the board 4:48 into the match, as
Niki Dalrymple ripped a shot from the top of the box to the left corner for her 12th goal of the season.
Despite an early score from the Gryphons, Old Westbury kept the pressure on the defense, taking 13 shots attempts in the opening frame. The back line held up, while goalkeeper
Madison Mertsch made nine of her season-high 14 saves in the half.
Maddie Eppler scored her first goal of the year in the 53rd minute to give Sarah Lawrence a 2-0 advantage, finishing a rebound to the near post.
Lainie Cadieux was credited with the assist after having her initial shot attempt bounce off the post.
Old Westbury continued to battle, scoring in the 82nd minute to make it a 2-1 contest. The Panthers managed to get one more attempt in the 87th minute, but the shot sailed wide, as Sarah Lawrence controlled possession for much of the final minutes to secure the victory.
After losing its first three matchups all-time to Old Westbury, Sarah Lawrence has now won three consecutive meetings with the Panthers.
