PATCHOGUE, N.Y. -Â The Sarah Lawrence College men's volleyball team took on St. Joseph's College (LI) on Wednesday night.
Nate Davis added eight more kills to his first-year campaign, giving him 62 on the year. The Gryphons fell to the Golden Eagles 3-0 in straight sets.

How it Happened
Nate Davis and Rector teamed up for the Gryphons' first point, cutting into the Golden Eagles' 3-0 lead. SJC went on a 10-3 run, building a strong cushion and eventually taking the first set 25-11.Â
Rector and Davis were responsible for SLC's first point in the second set as well. Davis went for back-to-back kills, receiving the second assist from Hardin-Zollo. Mathis notched a kill towards the end of the set.Â
Mathis then set up De Leoz for his first kill of the year, giving the Gryphons their first point of the third set. Clicking all night, Davis and Rector joined forces again, tying the third set at five. SJC then ripped off eight straight points and carried its advantage until the end of the match.Â
