YONKERS, N.Y. –
Matteo Romano made seven saves for the Sarah Lawrence College men's soccer team as the Gryphons faced off against the Lehman College Lightning on Saturday night. SLC fell to the visitors 2-0.
Nicholas Fajardo recorded the first shot of the contest a little after five minutes into regulation. The Gryphons' best scoring chance of the first half came at the 33:49 mark.
Pacqui Pascual had his shot saved by the Lightning keeper. Lehman broke the scoreless draw three minutes before halftime.
SLC just missed knotting the score at one in the 70th minute. Fajardo headed a ball top shelf and the Lightning goal leaped and extended his arms, stopping the shot with his hand and sending the ball over the crossbar. Lehman netted the second and final goal eight minutes later.

Peter Olszewski did not come out once, playing the full 90 minutes.
