BRONXVILLE, N.Y. – The Sarah Lawrence College women's tennis team ran into a buzzsaw in the Skyline Conference playing unbeaten Farmingdale State to a score of 2-7.
SLC drops to 1-4 overall and 0-2 in the Skyline while the Rams improved to 8-4 overall and 4-0 in conference.
FSC jumped out to a quick 3-0 leads thanks to a sweep of all three doubles flights.
The Rams put the match out of reach of a comeback quickly in singles play as they dispatched of flights No. 5 & 6 in straight sets fashion to win the match.
With the match already being decided, the final four singles flights were reduced to a single set to eight points to decide each victor.
Simi Rao downed Anatasia Hoffm-an 8-4 in No.1-singles action while teammate
Carrie Sun cruised past Amanda Jones for an 8-1 victory.
