Box Score Bronxville, N.Y. - The Sarah Lawrence College women's tennis team opened its 2022 campaign with a 6-3 nonconference victory against Brooklyn College on Friday evening.
Doubles
The #2 doubles team of Bella Biane and Chloe Coehn score the first point for the Gryphons defeating Allison Dubrow and Siobahn Ebert 8-6. Brooklyn College picked up wins at #1 and #3 doubles.
Singles
The Gryphons came out strong in singles play winning in five of six positions.
Simi Rao won convincingly at #1 with scores of 6-1, 6-0.
Carrie Sun and
Bella Biane won at #2 and #3 with score of 6-4, 7-5 and 6-4, 6-1, respectively. At the #5 spot,
Chloe Cohen, with strong baseline play, picked up her second victory of the night with scores of 6-1, 6-4. In her Gryphon debut,
Nitika Kamath added another point for the Gryphons with a win at #6 singles. Brooklyn's only win in singles came at the #4 spot where Siobahn Ebert defeated
Ellie O'Brian in three sets.
