WXC | The Sarah Lawrence Women's Cross Country team hit the trail at the Hudson Valley Sports Dome on Sunday, competing in the Mount Saint Mary College Invitational (6K). The team finished in 9th place overall in their second race of the season.
Crossing the line first for the Gryphons was
Quinn Van Buren who finished in 24th place overall.
Mira Franzen and
Alejandra Pasquel were next over the line finishing in 56th and 60th place respectively.
Sakhi Singhi,
Mikaella Garcia and
Veronica Endres rounded out the finishers for Sarah Lawrence.
Jaquelynn Sheedy from the United States Merchant Marine Academy won the individual crown with a time of 25:07.7, while St. Joseph's-L.I. won the team event with a score of 54.
The Gryphons will race close to home on Sunday, October 2, when they participate in the Queensborough Invitational at Van Cortlandt Park in the Bronx. The race begins at 10:00 a.m.
