BRONXVILLE, N.Y. –
Morris Monaco Collins scored twice for the Sarah Lawrence College men's soccer team as the Gryphons defeated Medgar Evers 5-0 on Wednesday night. The win moved SLC to 2-1 on the season.

- Nicholas Fajardo had a goal and an assist. The sophomore also fired off four shots.

HOW IT HAPPENED
SLC tallied eight shots in the first half, but did not find the back of the net.
Nicholas Fajardo had a scoring opportunity squandered by the left post in the 37th minute. The teams went into the break even at zero.
The Gryphons finally broke through near the 47-minute mark.
Leon Bronshvag hit a free kick from just inside midfield. The ball bounced around the penalty area before reaching the foot of
Morris Monaco Collins. The first-year bicycled the ball past the Cougars keeper.
Ralph Calle-Schulz drew a foul in the box at the 55:57 mark, forcing a penalty kick.
Nicholas Fajardo buried the PK in the bottom right corner, making it 2-0 in favor of Sarah Lawrence. Fajardo and Monaco Collins hooked up on the third goal of the night in 61st minute. Fajardo headed the ball to the feet of Monaco Collins who then blasted it beyond the Medgar Evers goalie from about 25 yards out.
Aidan Roney played a role in the final two goals of the night, first setting up
Kaeden Potts in the 82nd minute, and then scoring in the 86th minute on a ball from
Leon Bronshvag.
