MILTON, N.Y. - The Sarah Lawrence Cross Country Teams continued their impressive 2023 campaigns with two more solid team finishes at the Skyline Cross Country Championships. The Gryphons placed eighth as a team in the men's race and fifth as a team in the women's race.

In the 11:00 a.m. women's race, the Gryphons had two top-20 finishers and five runners within the top-35. Maya Pfeiffer paced the team with a time of 32:15.8 on the 6k course, followed closely by Al Sinclair who completed the course in 32:39.9. Kailee Call, Kate Hansberry and Grace Cabral finished back–to-back-to-back with times all within one second of the 35-minute mark. Stella Lissak and Alejandra Pasquel were the next SLC competitors to finish, with Lissak crossing the line with a time of 28:15.9 and Pasquel finishing in 39:40.3. Inga Specht rounded out the school's finishers with a time of 41:42.3, giving the Gryphons eight finishers on the day.

In the noon men's race, standout runner Leo Kalotihos continued his success this season with a 15th-place finish. Kalotihos crossed the line in a time of 31:07.8, just 0:00.2 seconds behind the 14th-place runner. Kalotihos was followed by four SLC runners who all earned top-55 times. Isaac Gaber turned in a time of 35:46.0 for a 42nd-place finish, a minute and a half before teammate Lucas Murray earned a 47th-place finish with a time of 37:24.6. Senior Zeke Ash was right behind Murray, claiming 49th place with a time of 38:08.4. Aiden Morel rounded out the group of competitors for Sarah Lawrence with a time of 39:34.8, good for 53rd place overall in the 87-contestant race.
