Gryphons and Hawks Battle in Close Contest

BRONXVILLE, N.Y. - The Sarah Lawrence women's tennis team fought to the final point as they fell to Hunter College 4-5 on Wednesday night on the campus of Sarah Lawrence. The team now sits at 1-1 on the season after the match.

Top Performers
The Gryphons took two of three doubles matchups for an early 2-1 advantage, but it would be the Hawks that would take singles, winning four of six matchups to claim the victory. Rao and Conner each defeated their opponent in first and second singles respectively but the Hawks were strong in the third through sixth flights and were able to leave Bronxville with a narrow victory.

The Gryphons (1-1) will return to action on Saturday as they travel to Brooklyn, N.Y. to take on the Bulldogs of Brooklyn College. The match will start at noon as the Gryphons look to start the season 2-1.
