Gryphons host Undefeated Roadrunners for Thursday-Evening Matchup

BRONXVILLE, N.Y. - The Sarah Lawrence men's volleyball team saw their three-game win streak snapped on Thursday evening as they fell to the Roadrunners of Ramapo College in three sets.

Top Performers
  • Nate Davis led the Gryphons with nine kills and added a block
  • Kian Silva had a team-high 11 kills and added in three digs
  • Nicholas Fajardo had three kills, five digs, an assist and the team's lone service ace

How it Happened

The Roadrunners controlled the match from the start, as both teams struggled to serve over the net, with 37 combined service errors between the two teams. Early kills by Fajardo, Davis, and Aidan Roney kept the Gryphons in the first set, but the Roadrunners would pull away despite the occasional service error, taking the set 25-18. A 10-2 lead in the second set allowed Ramapo to eventually take a 2-0 lead despite a late-set kill by Silva straight off a dig by Davis. The third set saw Davis team up with Derek Hickman for a double block, but Ramapo would dominate the remainder of the set, holding on for a 25-14 victory and improving to 8-0 in conference play this season.
