How it Happened
The Gryphons got solo blocks from Davis and
Kian Silva in the first set, but the Dolphins would remain in control.
Aidan Roney added a kill of his own down the stretch, but the Dolphins held on for a 25-16 first-set victory.
Ralph Calle-Schulz joined Davis, Hickman and Roney in earning second-set kills, but it would not be enough to overcome UMSV's attack, with the Dolphins holding on for a 25-17 victory. Hickman, Roney, Davis and
Nikos Diaz all earned kills in the third set, but once again the hosts maintained an advantage, using three straight service aces sealed the match and gave the Dolphins a Skyline victory.
