PLEASANT VALLEY, N.Y. - The Sarah Lawrence equestrian team followed up their strong season-opening show with a 13-ribbon outing at New Paltz on Sunday. The Gryphons had 10 different riders earn ribbons, including a two-ribbon winner, who qualified for the IHSA Regional in the intermediate flat.
Maeve Lamson earned a 7th-place finish in the Intermediate Over Fences and placed 3rd in the Intermediate Flat. Lamson's ride in the Intermediate Flat earned her a spot in the IHSA Regional this spring, the first Gryphon to secure a spot in the event.
Saffron Bessler had a solid showing with a 4th-place finish in the Limit Over Fences, adding a sixth-place finish in the Limit Flat as well.
Sophia Zamuner rounded out the Limit category with a 5th-place finish in the Limit Flat.
Talia Rosenthal performed well in the Novice Flat, taking 3rd place, while
Summer Stammely finished 4th in the same category. In the Pre-Novice Flat,
Rose Stabile took 4th place, with
Emma Androne and
Leena Mathiasen following closely behind in 3rd place. In the Introductory Flat,
Nyah Raposo secured a strong 2nd-place finish, and
Mia Chamorro rounded out the event with a 3rd-place finish in the same category.

The Gryphons will return to action on Saturday, November 1st as they head back to Centenary for a double show hosted by the Cyclones.
