LAGRANGEVILLE, N.Y. - The Sarah Lawrence equestrian team co-hosted Saturday's show with Vassar College, bringing a dozen ribbons back to Bronxville as ten different Gryphons placed in various events. The strong performance rounded out the team's fall slate, giving the Gryphons 12+ ribbons in four of the five fall weekends and qualifying a pair of riders for the IHSA Regionals this Spring.

Maeve Lamson led the way with a pair of ribbons, taking 4th in Intermediate Fences before adding a fifth in Open Flat to cap the day. Saffron Bessler delivered points in multiple classes as well, earning sixth in the Limit Fences and fourth in the Limit Flat, while Sophia Zamuner added a sixth-place ride in the Limit Flat. In the novice group, Summer Stammely posted the team's top placing with a strong third-place ride in Novice Flat, followed by Leena Mathiasen in sixth place. Rose Stabile and Nyah Raposo put the Gryphons on the board in the Pre-Novice Flat with finishes of fourth-and sixth-place rides, respectively. The introductory riders closed things out with three steady performances, as Mia Chamorro secured third, Fiona Nary claimed fourth and Tulsi Purushotham matched that with another fourth-place ride. The team ended the day with a dozen ribbons, the fourth weekend this fall eclipsing the 12-ribbon mark.
