POUGHKEEPSIE, N.Y. – The Sarah Lawrence men's cross country team began its 2025 campaign on Saturday at the Vassar Invitational, facing off against some of the top programs in the region, including nationally competitive rosters from NYU and Vassar.
Sophomore
Thomas Matonti led the Gryphons, crossing the line in
16:30.1 to place 33rd overall. Junior
Ivo Duwin followed with a time of
17:15.6 (35th), while senior
Noah Carey finished in
17:35.4 (36th). Junior
Aiden Morel added depth with a
17:57.6 performance (37th), and sophomore
Gavin Wright rounded out the Gryphons' scoring in
19:13.5 (39th).

Sarah Lawrence will return to action next weekend as the Gryphons continue to build momentum in the early stages of the season. The team will hit the trail at Purchase College on Saturday, September 6th as they face off against a Skyline team for the first time this season.
