YONKERS, N.Y. — The Sarah Lawrence College men's soccer team closed out its 2026 campaign with a 1-0 victory over Mount Saint Mary College, earning a Senior Night win and establishing a new program benchmark for Skyline Conference points in interim head coach Gianluca Orsini's first season at the helm.
Ryan Gunderson scored the decisive goal at 30:08, recording the first goal of his collegiate career and his first of the season. His finish proved to be the difference as the Gryphons held off the Knights for the shutout victory.
Goalkeeper Jonah Zalis anchored the defensive effort with seven saves, recording his second shutout of the season to preserve Sarah Lawrence's one-goal advantage. Despite Mount Saint Mary's 18-6 edge in shots and 9-1 advantage in corner kicks, the Gryphons' defense stood firm to secure the win.

The victory capped a historic 2026 season for the Gryphons in Orsini's first season as interim head coach. Sarah Lawrence finished with a .417 winning percentage and a program-record 11 points in Skyline Conference play, marking the highest conference point total in program history.
