3.2.26

LAGRANGEVILLE, N.Y. - The Sarah Lawrence equestrian team wrapped up the 2025-26 regular season with another double-digit ribbons performance, the program's fifth-such showing of the season. The team also finished third overall, the highest finish of the season and the team's fifth top-four placement.

Angel Chen led the way with a runner-up finish in open fences before becoming one of three Gryphons to place in multiple events with a sixth-place ride in the intermediate flat. Maeve Lamson delivered another two-rubbon performance for SLC, taking fifth in intermediate fences and fourth in open flat. Lamson will be one of two Gryphons to return to action at the end of the month for IHSA Regionals. Saffron Bessler was the final Gryphon to bring home a pair of ribbons, doing so in the Limit division. The first year finished fifth in limit fences and fourth on the flat in the same class, while Sophia Zamuner secured fourth in the limit flat as well. Summer Stammely earned a sixth-place finish in the novice flat and Nyah Raposo rode to a third-place finish in pre-novice flat. Raposo will join Lamson at the IHSA Regionals later this month as the school's second qualifier. Tulsi Purushotham rounded out the day with a third-place result in the introductory flat, giving the team ten total ribbons.
