BRONXVILLE, N.Y. – August 18, 2026 – The Sarah Lawrence College women's soccer team arrives on campus today to begin preseason training ahead of the 2026 campaign. The Gryphons will open the season at home on Tuesday, September 1, welcoming Yeshiva University to Fleming Field for a 7:00 p.m. kickoff.

Sarah Lawrence will play 18 matches this season, including eight contests at Fleming Field. The Gryphons will close out the regular season with five consecutive road matches.

The Gryphons enter the 2026 season looking to build on a strong 2025 campaign that saw the team finish 8-9-2 overall and 7-3-1 in Skyline Conference play. Sarah Lawrence advanced to the first round of the Skyline Conference Tournament after finishing the regular season on an eight-match unbeaten streak.

Leading the way in her final season is senior Katey Beaver. A three-time all-conference selection, Beaver recorded eight goals and six assists as a junior, including four game-winning goals. She enters the season with 26 career goals and 19 assists and has an opportunity to become the program's all-time career scoring leader in 2026.

Head Coach Maurizio Grillo will also rely on a veteran group that includes six additional returning seniors: Chloe Barker, Gabrielle Stravinski, Madeline Moor, Phoebe Workman, Emma Mangan, and Maria Cortina Fernandez.

Success for the Gryphons extends beyond the field. Five returning student-athletes—Barker, Beaver, Moor, Stella Sturgill, and Bella Vaca—were named to the College Sports Communicators Academic All-District Team, highlighting the program's continued commitment to excellence both academically and athletically.

With a veteran core returning and postseason experience under its belt, Sarah Lawrence women's soccer begins preseason with its sights set on returning to the Skyline Conference Tournament and advancing further in 2026.
