BRONXVILLE, N.Y. — The Sarah Lawrence College cross country program has announced its 2026 schedule, with the Gryphons set to open the season Friday, Sept. 4, at the Panthers XC Invite, hosted by Adelphi University.

Sarah Lawrence will compete in five regular-season meets before beginning postseason competition. The 2026 Skyline Conference Championship is scheduled for Sunday, Oct. 25, in Stony Brook, N.Y., at 11 a.m. NCAA qualifiers will then compete at the 2026 NCAA Division III Regionals on Saturday, Nov. 14, at Moravian University, with the race scheduled for 11 a.m.

Women's Cross Country
The Sarah Lawrence women's cross country team enters the 2026 season looking to defend its Skyline Conference title and earn back-to-back championships under first-year head coach Rachel Rose.

The Gryphons captured the 2025 Skyline Championship, earning the first conference championship in program history. Three Sarah Lawrence runners earned All-Skyline honors, including returning junior Whitney Hall. Hall placed ninth at the conference championship to earn a spot on the All-Skyline Second Team.

Junior Isabella Moya also returns for the 2026 campaign after recording a top-20 finish at the 2025 Skyline Championship.

Men's Cross Country
The Sarah Lawrence men's cross country team will look to improve upon its ninth-place finish at the 2025 Skyline Championship.

Senior Aiden Morel recorded the Gryphons' top returning individual finish at last year's championship, placing 51st, and will be counted on to help lead the team in 2026 as one of two seniors.

Ivo Durwin also returns for the Gryphons after earning the prestigious Elite 19 Award during the 2025 season. The award is presented to the participant at the conference championship with the highest GPA. Durwin became just the second Sarah Lawrence student-athlete in program history to receive the honor.

The Gryphons begin the 2026 season Sept. 4 at the Panthers XC Invite hosted by Adelphi University.
